I’m euphoric. This is my first ever award and I can’t tell you how much it means to me. I feel humbled and honoured. Humbled, because there are so many people out there who are bigger and better than you. And I would like to thank the judges and the audiences and readers who thought me worthy of this honour. It’s really special, also the fact that
I got it for a film by Nagesh. He really knows what he wants out of his actors, and I loved working with him. I want to thank ‘Stardust’ because their awards truly celebrate new talent, and encourage us at
a stage in our careers where we need maximum encouragement and constant approval, and seek it covertly or overtly, because we don’t know where we stand. I feel fortunate for having been given this award and I will continue to live up to the expectations that I see people have from me.”
