Actor and avid biker, Gul Panag will take to the wheels of a Mahindra Scorpio Getaway christened Super Milo) on her way to Ladakh, accompanied by her friend Swaty. Motors The duo take on the challenge to travel from Manali to Leh in Gul’s customized Mahindra Scorpio Getaway across 2,257 kms over a period of 13 days. The Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh adventure is being shown as a three part series on Discovery Channel beginning on March 27, 2015 at 8pm. Punjab based Sarbloh Motors is responsible for the Super Milo modifications.
Gul Panag and her Mahindra Scorpio Getaway
Her Mahindra Scorpio Getaway is specially designed to tackle high altitude, precarious road conditions and is preferred for its powerful engine and load carrying capacities. The Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh route will see varying temperatures, dangerous terrain and the entire journey puts the vehicle through the most testing times while Gul and her friend absorb the best of roads in a custom fitted Scorpio Getaway.

Mahindra Scorpio Getaway receives a host of enhancements to cater to this adventure test. Heavy duty winches have been added along with high lift jack, snorkels and metal off road bumpers. Added lights and suspension lift has also been incorporated into its design along with traction tyres and steel wheels. A 40 liter auxiliary fuel tank, 100 liter stainless steel water tank and diesel tuning box are also a part of its makeup. The Getaway also sports a roof mounted revolving search light, a dual battery management system and CB Radio while it will be carrying a portable gas burner and oxygen cylinder in its hold so as to combat any signs of high altitude sickness.

Discovery Channel crew follow Gul and Swaty through the Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh adventure to gather GoPro, in vehicle camera and tracking camera footage. The series will also showcase an exclusive footage of the Mahindra Scorpio Getaway being readied for this sort of extreme adventure and being put to the test across severe off roading conditions. Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh route will extend from Manali to Rohtang and ahead to Keylong, Jispa and Tsokar. It will tackle the treacherous Indus Valley, pass the Gata Loops and undertake 22 hairpin bends to ascent to over 400 feet to Khardung La, Taglang La and Chang La.
