The fitness aficionado and actress Gul Panag, who is an avid supporter and participator of Mumbai Marathon, will soon clock her 2 decades and praises the spirit of city of dreams for encouraging such events.
Tennis star Rohan Bopanna and Gul Panag were interacting with the media during the launch of ASICS new marathon collection in Bandra.
Talking about her association with the marathon, Gul Panag said, “First time I ran the marathon was in 2004, and I think in 2024, I will be completing my 20 years with the Mumbai marathon. I am excited and I still can run, for that I am grateful to god.”
Further adding praises about the Mumbai Marathon edition, Gul said, “I love the Mumbai marathon, the kind of participation it showcases, not just the people running but people who gather around the street corners to cheer everyone up, it is incredible.”
“Mumbai Marathon is so special, you’re struggling to take the next step, and then some kid or old person from the street-side will cheer for you, the kind of support, encouragement and spiritedness that is here, which is very special and unique about Mumbai” added Gul.
Gul Panag also expressed her excitement about sharing the stage with Rohan, she said, “I am excited to share the stage with such a big Tennis star Rohan. I am Rohan’s fan ever since my childhood, I use to play tennis when I was 13-14 years old, he was little older and already had his name on the circuit, I used to read about him in papers, and often wished I wanted to be like him, but I didn’t stay the course.”
On the work front, Gul was last seen in Zwigato, directed by Nandita Das, also starring Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami in the lead roles.
