Back on 18th July the first reaction Gul Panag had to her heavily modifiede getway was OMG. And, why not. Gul Panag was headed to Lahaul Spiti Valley on a modified road ready toughie built on the Mahinjdra Scorpio platform. Referred to as ‘Super Milo’, the capable SUV is equipped with a CB radio, oxygen cylinder, additional fuel tank, extreme tires, and an onboard tent among a host of other features.
Customized by Sarbloh Motors, changes and add-ons are not just intended for visual improvement, and have application in mind. Her mountain trip saw her embark on a trip to Chatru on Rohtang Pass – Kunjum Pass at 3300m towards the end of the road trip. The Mahindra Scorpio Getaway was modified as per Gul Panag’s requirement. Modifications, many of which are clearly visible include custom bumpers, spare wheel carrier, an extra 50Ltr fuel tank.
There’s a water tank with dc pump, dual battery management system, a 54mm suspension lift, dieseltronic tuning box, and a 9500 lbs winch in front. On the outside you can also see a roof top tent, awning, roof top carrier, custom roof mounted console, and remote search lights. The vehicle uses steel wheels and mountain tyres under flared arches, has auxiliary lights fitted, a spade carrier, and there’s a jerrycan on the rear.
The interiors have been altered with custom upholstery, and there’s a custom roll cage / carrier on the deck in use. For connectivity, a cb radio set is pressed into service. While the vehicle wasn’t expected to undertake extreme offroading, it is capable to take on river beds, sand, and slush. While essentially alone on the trip, Gul did have a Scorpio 4×4 support vehicle in tow.
