Mahindra launched the all-new Alturas G4 in the Indian market last year. The flagship Mahindra vehicle is the most expensive vehicle from the brand in India and Mahindra has set-up a premium area for the display of the car in the existing Mahindra showrooms. Mahindra is trying to offer a premium experience to the prospective owners of the Alturas G4 and they have set-up a premium test-drive experience too.

Gul Panag, the official brand ambassador of Mahindra in India earlier featured in a video that describes the features of the all-new Alturas G4 and how it feels from the inside. In a new video, Gul Panag shows Mahindra offers a premium test-drive experience for the Alturas G4.

The short clip shows a customised package is given to Gul Panag, which contains a welcome letter and a desktop clock featuring the start/stop button the Mahindra Alturas G4. On pressing the start/stop button, a timer starts for an hour and at the end of the timer, the Mahindra Alturas G4 arrives for a test-drive. This is one of its kind test drive experience where the prospective owners can call for the test drive vehicle at their doorstep within one hour of pressing the start/stop button on the clock.

Information on how to get such a test drive experience is not mentioned on the Mahindra’s official website. However, Mahindra is also offering a virtual experience of the Alturas G4 at individual’s homes. The virtual experience is provided with the use of virtual reality eye gear. Mahindra asks prospective customers to fill a form to get the virtual reality experience.

The all-new Mahindra Alturas G4 is based on the SsangYong Rexton but Mahindra has added their signature grille to the SUV, giving it a stereotype Mahindra look and feel. The Mahindra Alturas G4 is priced at Rs. 26.95 lakh, ex-showroom, India. The 4X4 variant is priced at Rs. 29.95 lakh. Keeping up with the personalised service theme, Mahindra also offers Purple Club membership to the owners. It is a premium loyalty program and customers get to earn and redeem points based on the engagement with the brand.

Gul Panag Alturas

The Mahindra Alturas G4 is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 178 Bhp and 420 Nm. It gets a 7-speed torque converter automatic transmission sourced from Mercedes-Benz. The Alturas 4X4 is quite a capable off-the-road and gets a low-ratio transfer case too.

Being a Mahindra vehicle, the Alturas G4 comes loaded with features. The SUV gets 9 airbags, ABS+EBD, ESP, anti-rollover protection, 8-way power adjustable driver seat, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HID headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, 360-degree surround camera, dual-zone automatic climate control and more such features. It takes on the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market.
