When it comes to furnishing powerhouse performances, the beauty queen and actress Gul Panag never fails to do so. Ever since her onscreen debut, the actor has repeatedly been inclined toward roles that are challenging. Pouring in a rich and varied personality in the theatre, the actress has done her fair share of mainstream cinema which makes the most of her effortless acting chops.
Likewise was her acting in Paatal Lok which left the audience speechless. Recently, believe it or not, the show has clocked three blissful years. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared some pictures with the caption, ” 3 years!#pataallok So much gratitude.”
The storyline of Paatal Lok is set in the backdrop of East Delhi. And the plot coils on the traditional ideas of Svarga, Dharti, and Paatal which are employed as metaphors for the various classes of India and the four estates in the show. The show had a bunch of talent actors including Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Banerjee, Neeraj Kabi, Ishwak Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, Niharika Dutt, Mairembam Ronaldo Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Anindita Bose and many others. The series was directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy.
Gul portrays a spunky middle-class housewife named Renu, opposite Jaideep Ahlawat who played the titular role in the series. In the series, Renu is Hathiram Chaudhary’s wife and is the brightest spark in Hathiram’s otherwise frustrating life. The couple know that life hasn’t been fair to them but Renu believes in rolling forward in life. Her life is intrinsically tied to his life, and her evolution and aspirations are all through him.
Recently, Gul has won the hearts of many with her versatile acting in The Haunting alongside Erica Fernandes. The gorgeous lady has Aloo Bhujia in the pipeline directed by Lakshmi R Iyer.
