Gul Panag may have claimed harassment by Delhi men while running the marathon last week, but that has not deterred the actor from returning to the Capital for another public event. Panag will kick off an all women’s bike rally in Delhi next month in order to promote her upcoming film Turning 30.

An avid biker, Panag says, “There are many women bikers in Delhi, so it was a great idea to get everyone together. I’ll probably ride an enfield to the rally.”

Despite last time’s unpleasant experience, Panag says she is capable of handling the Delhi crowds. “I am a Delhi girl and I can take care of myself in crowds or otherwise,” she says.

Debutante director Alankrita Shrivastava, who was the brains behind the idea, says that an all-girls rally gels well with the theme of the film. “It is a fun film about women, a chicklit with substance and this is a great way of celebrating the film right here in the Capital,” Shrivastava says.

Though the venue for the rally is yet to be finalised, it will be held on January 7. “All Delhi girls are welcome to join. I can’t ride a bike, so I will be riding pillion,” says the film-maker.
