Audi, the German luxury car maker, organised a Women’s Power Drive event on October 19 in New Delhi to provide a chance to Indian women experience the driving credentials of Audi ‘Q’ series. The event was a part of Audi Q-Drive event, which was rolled out in the city.
On this development, the Head of Audi India, Michael Perschke said, “The notion that SUVs are being chosen by men only, is passe. Undeniably, these sporty vehicles have fast gained a preference among today’s women. A good number of our luxury SUVs are being driven by women in India. Audi has always been at the forefront of bringing out new technologies and offering its customers a luxurious and sporty driving experience. Customer delight is one of the pillars on which we plan to build our future and events like these are designed to give our customers a truly once in a lifetime experience.”
Gul Panag, the Indian actress, co-hosted the event and explained the futuristic features of Audi Q7, Q5 and Q3 to the audience. In event, she said, “I am very devoted to the cause of promoting driving for women. I am certain that Audi’s special focus on catering to this segment will inspire many more women to take to the wheels.”
Speaking on the same lines, Perschke said, “This festive season we have initiated an exciting campaign, ‘Gift the Q Life’ to enroll more and more people into the ‘Q Life’ not only by buying our sporty range of Q SUVs – Audi Q7, Audi Q5 and Audi Q3 but also gifting a slice of the ‘Q Life’ to their near and dear ones.”
The luxury auto maker has recently opened the doors of its new outlets in Navi Mumbai, Goa, Delhi West, Nagpur, Coimbatore and Bhopal. During 2011, Audi inaugurated new facilities in Delhi South, Chennai, Ludhiana, Surat and Indore. The product portfolio of Audi includes some of the flagship models of the company, which have received a warm response from the Indian buyers.
In India, the auto maker offers the new Audi A4, A6, A7 Sportback and A8L in the sedan segment, whereas the Utility Vehicles (UVs) like Audi Q3, Q5 and Q7 are also available on its outlets. Besides, Audi S4, RS5 Coupe, TT Coupe, Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder are also sold across all the official dealerships of the company in India. Presently, the auto maker has maintained its showrooms in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi South, Delhi West, Goa, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore and Jaipur. The developments also include regions like Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai West, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Surat.
